Berlin’s Messegelände exhibition grounds are easily identifiable from a distance, marked by the icon Funkturm radio tower dating from 1926. The tower, which looks rather like a smaller Eiffel Tower, soars nearly 147 metres upwards. The Messegelände exhibition grounds have been hosting international trade fairs and congresses since 1924.
The Berlin ExpoCenter City is located in Berlin’s Charlottenburg district. The easiest way to get your bearings at the exhibition grounds is to start from one of the main entrances to the north, south or east. The S-Bahn station Messe Süd provides a convenient public transport link to the impressive semi-circular South Entrance.
